What can you say about Cheers that hasn't been said
a thousand times already? I mean, for it's last few
years it was the number one rated television show
in America. Not
bad for a show that premiered as the lowest rated
show in America. Lets talk about the characters that
made the show so great.
Sam
Malone (Ted Danson), the owner and bartender and an
ex-pitcher for the Boston Red Sox; Diane Chambers
(Shelley Long), the waitress attending graduate school;
Carla Tortelli LeBec (Rhea Pearlman), the wise-cracking
waitress who had several kids and ex-husbands. Ernie
"Coach" Pantusso (Nicholas Colasanto), an ex-baseball
coach, helped Sam behind the bar until 1985 when he
passed away and was replaced by Woody Boyd (Woody
Harrelson), a naïve and innocent bartender.
