There are many different types of crabs that take on different characteristics. Other types of crabs are as follows: fiddler crabs, spider crabs, ghost crabs, and the king crab.
Fiddler crabs have an oversized claw that is used as a defense mechanism against predators. Spider crabs have very long legs and they like to hide in the algae under the water.
Ghost crabs create homes high up in the sand, so they almost seem to disappear and can be undetectable.
King crabs are the largest of the edible crabs.
