WHAT ARE REN AND STIMPY?

For those of you who are too young to remember they are the two main characters are an "asthma-hound" chihuahua named "Ren" , and a cat named "Stimpy". The show's attraction is its shameless and gross physical humor, often consisting of nose-picking and farts. It is suitable (and funny) for the whole family, though some have called it an acquired taste.

This show was great and I'm really sad to see it off the air. But of course things like Southpark took it's place. In SouthPark there is family of poop living together. Mr. Henky is the leader. But in Ren and Stimpy there is a family of farts. So you can see where southpark got it's inspiration.

This cartoon came out at about the same time Beavis and Butthead were released. Ren and Stimpy was Nickolodeons competion for Mtv's Beavis and Butthead. But in my opinion this show had more substance then Beavis and Butthead.

The strange chemistry between these two lovable characters can be seen in other shows like Pinky and the Brain. But this show dealt with more serious issues and delemas. There were episodes ranging from topics such as cruelty to animals and military humor

I'm really sad to see it pulled from the air. My favourite always was "Stimpy, you idiot" in that crazy spanish accent.
